WELCOME MODULE: FIRST STEPS SETUP
Hello, and welcome! I am so incredibly excited for you, and I want to be the first to officially welcome you to your brand-new template.

First of all, congratulations! Deciding to launch your course, program, or service is a massive step for your business, and I am so honored that you chose my design to help you bring that vision to life.

I know that the "tech side" of launching can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. If you are sitting there feeling a bit nervous about building a website—take a deep breath. You are in exactly the right place, and I’ve got you completely covered.

How This Template Hub Works
I designed this hub to be completely foolproof. You don't need to know a single line of code, and you don't need to be a tech genius.

Below, you will find short, bite-sized lessons that will walk you through exactly how to customize your new Squarespace website from start to finish. We will go step-by-step: from adding your unique brand colors and fonts, to dragging and dropping your photos, all the way to hitting that exciting "Publish" button.

Here is my best advice for you:

Take it one step at a time. Don't try to rush through everything in one hour. Grab a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine!), put on your favorite playlist, and just follow along with the videos.

Go in order. The modules are set up chronologically to make the process as smooth as possible.

Have fun with it! This is the exciting part where your business identity comes to life.

If at any point you feel stuck, remember that you can always pause the videos, rewind, and watch them as many times as you need.

(And hey, if you decide you’d rather just hand the tech stuff over to a professional, you can always check out my Done-For-You Setup Service)

I can't wait to see what you create. Whenever you are ready, go ahead and click on the next lesson, "Accepting Your Site Transfer," and let’s get this template into your account!

Happy designing!
1. WELCOME TO YOUR TEMPLATE!
Let's get your new design into your account! When you purchased this template, you received a unique code called a Share
Key (or Design Key) in your email. Here is how to add it to your Showit account:

Log in to your Showit account at app.showit.co.

In the bottom left corner of the screen, click on your name/profile icon.

Click on Add Design to Library.

Paste your unique Share Key into the box and hit enter. Once the design loads, click the Add Now button. To start customizing, click on Create a New Site, select your new template from the "Your Designs" tab, and you're in!
2. ADDING THE TEMPLATE TO SHOWIT

Before we start changing colors and text, let's take a quick tour of the neighborhood. The Showit workspace is divided into three main areas:
The Left Panel (The Blueprint): This is where your site structure lives. At the top, you can toggle between the Site tab (to see all your pages and global settings) and the Page tab (to see the specific sections of the page you are currently editing).
Note: In Showit, the horizontal building blocks of a page are called Canvases. You will hear this word a lot!
The Middle Panel (The Canvas): This is your workspace. By default, you'll see your mobile site on the left and your desktop site on the right. Showit's superpower is that you design mobile and desktop completely independently.
The Right Panel (The Settings): This panel is dynamic. It changes depending on what you click. If you click on a photo, this panel shows image settings. If you click on text, it shows font settings.
At the very bottom of the screen, you'll find the Bottom Toolbar—this is where you go to add new elements like text boxes, shapes, lines, and images to your page.
3. SHOWIT INTERFACE OVERVIEW

Your new template is built on Fluid Engine, Squarespace’s newest and most advanced page builder. It gives you incredible drag-and-drop freedom—meaning you can place text, images, and buttons exactly where you want them, and even overlap them!

However, with all this creative freedom comes a few important quirks. Before you click "Edit" and start moving things around, please read these 4 Golden Rules. They will save you hours of time and frustration!

Rule #1: There is NO Auto-Save!
Unlike Google Docs, Squarespace does not auto-save your progress while you are actively editing a page. If your browser crashes, you lose your internet connection, or you accidentally close the tab, your hard work will disappear.

The Golden Rule: Every time you finish customizing a section and it looks great, go to the top left corner of the screen, click SAVE, and then click EDIT again to keep going. Save early, save often!

Rule #2: Content is Global, but Layout is Separate (The Mobile Rule)
This is the #1 most important thing to know about Fluid Engine. Desktop and Mobile views are connected, but their layouts are managed separately.

If you change TEXT or DELETE an image: It updates on both Desktop and Mobile instantly. (If you delete a photo on mobile, it is gone from the desktop too!).

If you MOVE or RESIZE an item: This is independent! You can drag a photo above a title on the Mobile view, and it will NOT mess up your Desktop layout.

Rule #3: Always Check the Mobile View Before Saving
Because the mobile layout doesn't automatically arrange itself perfectly, things might look a bit messy when you first add a new block of text or a new photo.

The Golden Rule: Never hit "Save" and close your laptop without clicking the Mobile Phone Icon (in the top right corner) first. Always manually drag and drop your blocks on the mobile view so they look clean and professional.

Rule #4: Don’t Delete Layouts You Might Need Later
If you see a section in the template that you don’t need right now (for example, a "Testimonials" or "FAQ" section, but you don't have that information yet), do not just hit the trash can icon! Once it's gone, it's hard to get that exact design back.

The Golden Rule: Hover over the section, look for the little pop-up menu on the right side, and click the Heart Icon (Save Section). This saves the entire design layout into your "Saved Sections" folder. You can safely delete it from the live page now, knowing you can easily add it back with one click whenever you are ready!

💡 THE UNDO BUTTON IS YOUR BEST FRIEND
Made a mistake? Accidentally dragged a photo across the screen? Don't panic!
In the top left corner of the editor, there are two curved arrows. Click the Undo arrow (or press Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z on your keyboard) to instantly undo your last action.

Feeling confident? Awesome! You officially know how to navigate the builder like a pro. Let’s move on to the fun part in the next module: "Module 1: Global Brand Styling," where we will start painting the template with your brand colors!
